Help feed your community

Senior man accepts food from Meals on Wheels
Cobb County Senior Services is participating in the annual March for Meals campaign led by Meals on Wheels America. Themed “End the Wait,” this year’s campaign highlights the growing number of seniors waiting for access to the meal services in communities nationwide.

Every day, Cobb County Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels program delivers nutritious meals and friendly visits to seniors in need, allowing them to remain healthy and independent in their own homes. As the need grows, many eligible seniors must wait for months or years for space in the program to open. Senior Services delivers to 200-plus older adults each week, but 185 seniors remain on our waitlist.

Senior Services is asking the community to help us end the wait for these seniors in need. Every dollar donated moves more seniors off the waitlist and on to better health and well-being. Just $35 provides meals for a week for an older adult.

To donate, visit the Meals on Wheels web page here or contact cobbseniors@cobbcounty.gov for other ways to donate and get involved.
