District 14 congressional seat up for grabs Tuesday
Voters will make their selection for the District 14 U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday, March 10. This election will fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and is only for voters who live in the district. Residents must cast their ballots at their assigned polling place 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Check the My Voter Page to confirm your House district. A special runoff election, if needed, will be held April 7.
In addition, Cobb County Elections and Registration is looking for new sites to act as polling locations for upcoming elections. Meal program offers a lifeline to seniors
Every day, Cobb County Senior Services’ Meals on Wheels program delivers nutritious meals and friendly visits to seniors in need, allowing them to remain healthy and independent in their own homes. As the need grows, many eligible seniors must wait for months or years for space in the program to open. Senior Services delivers to 200-plus older adults each week, but 185 seniors remain on our waitlist.
Senior Services is asking the community to help end the wait for these seniors in need. Every dollar donated moves more seniors off the waitlist and on to better health and well-being. Just $35 will provide meals for a week for an older adult.
